It’s one thing to establish procedures. It’s another to get buy-in and anther thing again to break old habits in favor of new protocol. These phrases will help.

This is the final work protocol. It incorporates all the managers’ suggestions and my input from all our experience.

It takes getting used to, but here’s how we log in projects now.

It takes time for everyone to get the hang of the new system. I think if people saw you using it, it would help motivate them.

It’s a habit to do it the old way, so how about I remind you each time until you’re used to the new way?

I saw you didn’t sign in your project. You didn’t think I’d let you get away with breaking procedure, did you? (ha-ha)

Notice I have stars by the names of all the managers who use the new system. When everyone gets a star, I’ll spring for doughnuts for the whole group.
